We are in a five-week series titled Chosen. This series looks at five different passages that highlight Jesus’ pursuit of those many would label “outcasts.” In the series, we’ll be discussing characters like Zacchaeus, the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet, a leper, and the thief on the cross. In each of these situations, Jesus often goes out of His way to reach those who are left out. To Jesus, these individuals are not outcasts, they are chosen. His love is extravagant and relentless.
This week, we'll be looking at the story of Zacchaeus. In this story, we see another example of how Jesus chooses and loves even the people we view as “unlovable.” When we reach out to love people when it’s difficult, we are showing them God’s love.

This morning, we look at Luke 15. Jesus is talking to "sinners and tax collectors," but knows the religious leaders are grumbling about it, so He tells three parables that illustrate God’s extravagant love for the lost. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or how far we’ve wandered; God chooses us and is actively pursuing us to come back to Him.
Leroy Woodruff filled the pulpit for us this Sunday, preaching on Jesus in the storms of life. The message looked at those times when we must turn to Christ in the storms of our life.
This week we look at one of the Psalms. The Psalms are a great body of work for when things are going wrong. We can look for encouragement, strength, peace, and the help of a loving God, all in the pages of the Psalms. We look at our worship, and why we worship. We'll look at Our Great & Mighty God.
