This is the second week on our series on Jesus in the Old Testament, called Better. This week we look at Adam. And we'll see that Jesus is the better and truer Adam, because like Adam, Jesus faced temptation, too. But unlike Adam, Jesus resisted that temptation, and gives us the strength to resist the temptation in our lives, too.
This week we’re starting a new five-week series titled Better: Jesus is…. During this series we’ll be looking to see some of the ways that Christ shows up in the Old Testament. Jesus is the climax of the story of Scripture. He is the better Adam, the better Jacob, the better Jonah, and the better Hosea.
This week we look at Galatians 5, and see two lists. One is a list of characteristics of those indulging the sinful nature, one of those living by the Spirit. We'll dig into these two lists, and figure where we are, compared to where Paul says we ought to be.
The last in our series, this week we look at fellowship. Often we think fellowship means staying after church for a dinner, or a coffee time following service. But real fellowship is Christ Centered Community - Koinonia in the bible. That's what we explore in this week's message.
