When Jesus Disappoints
This week is the fifth Sunday in Lent, and we'll be looking at Jesus' resurrection of Lazarus. It's a familiar passage, but we'll be looking at it from a little different perspective, noticing the disappoint in both Mary and Martha when Jesus didn't get there on time. Sometimes we're disappointed by what we don't understand of God.
Why Did God Allow This to Happen
This week is the Fourth Sunday in Lent, and we'll be looking at Jesus' healing a man born blind. There is a lot in the story, between the disciples opening question, to the Pharisees dismissal and even opposition to what happened. But we can use this story as a backdrop to ask some questions of our own...
This week is the Third Sunday in Lent, and we'll be looking at Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus strikes up a converstation, asking for water. As she meets his physical need of thirst, he begins talking about her spiritual thirst, and by the end of the chapter, her testimony has lead many in the town to faith in Jesus.
The Starting Point
This week is the Second Sunday in Lent, and today we will look at Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus in John, chapter 3. Nicodemus snuck in under the cover of darkness to ask Jesus some questions. The answers provide a starting point for our life of faith.
