We are looking at Jesus' instructions before sending out The Twelve to teach and to heal in Matthew 10:24-39. There are so many wonderful truths for us to remember, the title itself reminds that God loves even the sparrows, but that we are worth more than many sparrows. We also see in this passage that it is enough to be like Jesus, in fact, that should be our goal, we are reminded not to be afraid - fear God, not men, we are reminded to give acknowledgement to God, publicly, when He provides for you, and we are reminded that as beleivers, we should love God a little more, He should be our first priority.

We see the phrase "Like sheep without a shepherd fairly often in the Bible, today we'll what it means when Jesus said it, and some implications for us today. We'll how the needs of the people were great in that time, and we'll see how they are great in our time. And we'll see Jesus' solution...
Today we will be looking at Jesus' mercy, which is really themercy of God. We'll see what mercy is, and why it is perhaps our greatest human need. The Bible tells three short stories that demonstrate mercy, so that's what we'll be looking at today.
This week is Pentecost Sunday, the day we remember the Holy Spirit coming on, or perhaps, into, the disciples. They were in the upper room, and when the Spirit came, they were driven out into the streets preaching the Good News. Today we'll look at why, at the fire, the passion, and the power that led them as they served Jesus. And we'll see how we might develop our faith to best serve Jesus with that same fire, passion and power.
This week is Ascension Sunday, the day we remember Jesus going back into the heavens. We'll look at what it meant for the discioples, and we'll see what it means for us. What are we to do with the knowledge that Jesus is back in heaven? Now what are we to do?
Sometimes life seems anything but peaceful. We hurry from place to place, we rush around trying to get everything done, we feel anxious, but we don't feel peace. Yet peace is one of those promises that God makes to us. So how do we get from here to there? How do find that peace that Jesus promised?
This week we examine the question of our role in the Kingdom of Heaven. What can we know about our role in heaven, and how to get there, and even a little about what we ought be doing until we get there. Let me know what you think?
This morning, Leroy Woodruff is giving us a message that looks at the statement that God will never give you more than you can bear. We hear that statement from time to time, but is it really true? Leroy examines it in his message this morning.
This week we are looking at Jesus' appearing on the Road to Emmaus on what we've come to call Resurrection Sunday. The women have reported that the tomb is empty, yet these two disciples have left to go home. Why? We'll look into who they are, where they are going, and what we can learn from this encounter.
Every year, the Revised Common Lectionary lists this passage in John 20 as the Gospel reading for the week after Easter. It's the story of Thomas, and his refusal to beleive that Jesus has risen from the dead. So we look at Thomas this week, to get a better idea who he was, and who he became, through faith in his Lord and his God.
