And he doesn't hesitate to express that gratitude for those in ministry with him, starting all but one of his letters with thanks to the beleivers there. Today we are starting a study in Thessalonians, and we see three things in particular that he is thankful for in the church in Thessalonica. Let's look at it together...
Have you ever run the rat race? Lived so busy carving out a life for yourselve that you forgot what was important. Today we look at the Apostle Paul, who was very much running a rat race of his own. But we'll talk about his realization of what was important, and how it changed his life. How it can change our lives. It boils down to one thing - if we get that right, everything else will be right as well.
From time to time, Jesus really came down hard on the religions leaders of the day. Today we look at the parable of the two son, one of those times Jesus criticizes them harshly. Let's see what He means as we look into the parable together.
Perhaps there are two parts to this message. First, we look at the hymn Amazing Grace by John Newton. We'll hear his story, and we'll see that his was truly a life changed when it met God's grace. Then look into the scriptures and we'll see the Parable of the Vineyard Workers, and we'll see a practical illustration of God's Grace at work.
Everyone knows that they are supposed to forgive others. But forgiving someone who has sinned against you is hard. In this passage this morning, Jesus gives us the parable of the unmerciful servant, and teaches why forgiveness is so important.
